Your Carbon Footprint

Getting to know you carbon footprint is important; the concept is here to stay. Most businesses don’t understand, are unaware of their carbon footprint, or think it is too expensive to be “green”. By definition a carbon footprint is the total set of greenhouse gas emissions caused directly and indirectly by an individual or organization. It is inevitable that everyone leaves some sort of “footprint”; the size of that footprint is where the problem lies. Leaving a small “footprint” by recycling and being more conscientious about what we waste, will make the earth a much more habitable environment for future generations. We plan to educate companies about the benefits a smaller “footprint” can have, not only for the next generations, but for themselves. As previously stated, many think that being “green” is too expensive, but at SP we offer many different machines that can help reduce your “footprint” and save you money at the same time. Our high compaction machines will help reduce your bills and your “footprint” at the same time; after all, we have been doing it for 25 years!

Saving you money!

With the current state of the economy most businesses have had to find ways to save money. This has been done in a variety of ways depending on your type of business and its current situation. The one thing many companies haven’t paid much attention to is their trash hauling costs. SP proposes buying, leasing, or renting one of our high density compaction machines. Utilizing high density compaction will reduce your hauling costs 20% - 60% or more. It will also reduce labor intensity, fuel/power consumption, emissions, road wear and tear, and your carbon footprint. This sustainability measure can actually put money back into your budget. If you do not have the capital to purchase or lease a machine, we suggest you look at renting one from us. The rental is an all-inclusive system that offers the proper size of machine for your application, the freight, installation and all maintenance as long as you rent. It completely eliminates any capital expense. Another positive for this system is it’s an operational expense completely tax deductible. So, not only do you save capital, you put needed dollars back into your budget, and you reduce your carbon footprint. All this at virtually no cost or additional capital out of your pocket or budget. And, instead of your hauler coming everyday, we maximize your loads drastically limiting their service requirements. Need to hear more? Words of wisdom from Denny

Being “Green” is more than a statement. SP is proud to have been providing green systems for over 25 years. How, you ask? By reducing labor, fuel, emissions, and equipment utilization; cutting as much as 50% from overall operating expense. SP Industries provides equipment with recycling designed in. The case of rebuilding, refurbishing, and continued re-use, with American made locally available components, offers the lowest cost of ownership. In the long haul, we are your best value.

ISRI Convention

Thanks to all who came to see us at the ISRI Convention. The attendance was the 2nd highest ever for the show which helped make it a huge success. It was great to walk around and explore different booths while reconnecting with many familiar friends. While there were familiar faces there were also many new faces that we had the opportunity to meet. For those who are new to us, we appreciate the opportunity to meet with you and look forward to working with you in the near future. I am sure you will find that SP Industries is a leader in the industry when it comes to manufacturing and customer service. Once again, thanks to all that came to see us.

Welcome!

New to SP Industries, the blog, we think it will be a great way to keep in contact with what is going on at SP. We also want to keep you updated on what our sales people and other personnel are working on from week to week. It is easy to join and we would appreciate if you would follow along and even comment. For those of you, who may be new to SP Industries, check out our website at www.sp-industries.com.

As referenced in the April newsletter, SP Industries has been undergoing some recent changes. Part of the upstairs offices has been renovated and the sales team has moved into the new offices leaving behind old pictures, papers, and many memories to be cleaned out. Having just started the process it is apparent that it will be no small task, but at the same time it will be enjoyable. Amidst what was left behind are many examples that reminded us why SP Industries has been an industry leader for so long. We dusted off pictures of installations that were done in the mid 1980’s and still are working! We know we build superior equipment and are very proud of that. The cost of our machines are slightly higher, but with increased compaction and less maintenance fees, those costs quickly disappear. As Denny always says, “You need to compare apples to apples”, and we feel confident that when this happens, SP Industries will out perform.
